Predictive analytics
Demand forecasting, churn prediction, equipment failure warnings. We build regression and classification models on your historical records and connect them to dashboards your team actually checks.
We design, train, and deploy machine learning systems for mid-size businesses across Scotland and the wider UK. No hype decks. Working models, delivered in weeks.
Talk to our engineersEach project starts from your data and your problem, not from a template. Here are the categories most of our work falls into.
Demand forecasting, churn prediction, equipment failure warnings. We build regression and classification models on your historical records and connect them to dashboards your team actually checks.
Quality inspection on production lines, document digitisation, livestock monitoring. We fine-tune detection and segmentation networks on your own imagery, then package them for edge or cloud inference.
Models are only as reliable as the data feeding them. We design extraction, cleaning, and scheduling pipelines using Airflow, dbt, and cloud-native tooling so your inputs stay fresh and auditable.
Ticket routing, contract clause extraction, sentiment analysis on customer reviews. We train or prompt-tune language models scoped to your vocabulary and compliance requirements.
Drift happens. We set up automated performance tracking and retraining triggers so your models stay accurate as your data changes quarter to quarter.
We are eight engineers based in Upper Halvorsonhampton, Scotland. Half the team came from academic research labs at Edinburgh and Glasgow; the other half spent years building production ML systems inside logistics and fintech companies.
Keeping the team small means every client works directly with the people writing the code. There is no account manager layer between you and the person debugging your training loop at 9 pm.
Since 2021 we have shipped 74 models into production across agriculture, property management, legal services, retail supply chains, and more. Most of those clients still pay us a monthly retainer for monitoring and quarterly retraining.
We follow the same four-phase structure for every engagement. Timelines vary, but the shape stays consistent.
We get access to your existing data stores, evaluate volume, quality, and labelling gaps. You receive a written feasibility report within five working days. If the data cannot support a useful model, we say so and do not charge for phase two.
We train a minimum viable model and present results in a Jupyter notebook you can run yourself. Accuracy, precision, recall, and a confusion matrix are included so you can judge performance against your own threshold.
The prototype becomes a containerised service with an API your existing software can call. We write integration tests, set up CI/CD, and deploy to your cloud account or ours, depending on your compliance needs.
Documentation, a runbook, and a Grafana dashboard ship with the model. Optional ongoing retainer covers drift detection, retraining, and on-call support during business hours.
It depends on the task. A tabular classification problem can work well with a few thousand labelled rows. Computer vision tasks usually need at least 500 annotated images per class, though transfer learning can reduce that. During the data audit we give you an honest number.
Most four-to-six-week engagements land between £18,000 and £45,000 depending on data complexity and integration scope. The data audit phase is fixed at £2,400, and that fee is credited toward the full project if you proceed.
Yes. We have delivered projects where all training and inference ran on the client's own hardware behind a VPN. We bring our own laptops, connect to your network, and nothing leaves the building. The model artefact stays on your servers.
Almost everything we build uses open-source libraries: PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers, FastAPI. We avoid vendor lock-in. If you part ways with us, another engineering team can pick up the codebase without buying a licence.
You own the model and the code. We offer an optional monthly retainer (from £1,200/month) that covers performance monitoring, quarterly retraining with fresh data, and priority support during UK business hours. About 60% of our clients take the retainer.
Describe the problem you want to solve. We will reply within one working day with initial thoughts and, if relevant, a rough scope estimate.
